Back to School

Yep, right back in the substituting chair again! But that’s ok because I love the time I have to hang out with the students from this community (along with earning a little extra money).

So this is where I was yesterday with no access to the Internet (can you believe teachers actually lock their computers when subs come in) and where I will be the rest of the week so blogging has had to take a back seat lately. But as you can see, one poor teacher finally forgot to lock down their computer which is why you are able to read what you are reading right now. 

Just to catch everyone up, here is where I’ve been lately.

• Monday - INCREDIBLE Conference down in Georgia. As you can see, the line up for speakers was absolutely phenomenal! Shawn is a leader who simply loves leaders and enjoys pouring his life into leaders in every way he can. Steven is, well… Steven! And the dude just straight brings it every time I hear him share. He is one of the most passionate leaders I believe I have ever been around and he is just one of those guys that makes you stand back & say, “Yes, God has just anointed him to lead HIS church during this generation.”

• Tuesday – Another amazing day down in GA! I love hanging out with Gary, Tadd, and other guys like them who are stepping out in faith to change the communities God is placing them in so that when it is all said and done it is Jesus name who is made famous while at the same time pouring themselves into the guys like me just trying to get started in what God is calling us to do. Thank you guys for what you do and for the investment in the Kingdom you continuing to make by opening yourselves up completely for us all to learn from you! And to top all of this off with getting hear Mark, Darrin, and Bil talk about different aspects of Christian leadership… WOW is all I can say! God is truly amazing and you just had to be there to experience it. Again, it was the blessing of a life time to have all these guys come together at one time to invest their lives in the next wave of church leaders. If you missed out, then I’m sorry… you just missed out! But you still have time to sign up for next year.  

• Wednesday – Back to School. Yep, after 2 days of being away it was finally time to go back to substituting. But I now have a renewed passion for the call God has on my life and I can’t wait to see what He is going to do in the future! If it was anything like the previous 2 days then I know God is just getting ready to ROCK MY WORLD. So I say, “Rock On!” God has called me and that is all the authority I need… 

• Thursday – D-day. That’s right. It is time to start “Doing” what God is calling me to do. So please pray for me as we get this thing rolling. There are tens of thousands upon tens of thousands of sacrifices to be made, thousands upon thousands of phone calls to make, hundreds upon hundreds of things be done, tens upon tens of hard conversations to have, but only one upon one of this life to live. All I can ask is that you please pray for me as God has confirmed it in my heart that it is NOW TIME for me to be the leader He has called me to be…
