Road Trip Week #1
March 2, 2008
Time for a quick timeout from today’s Road Trip before heading off to another worship service tonight.
We just got in from Revolution Church and we totally LOVE what this church is doing to reach Canton and the entire North Georgia area. It was great getting to hang out with Gary, even if he was in pain and had to run to the hospital immediately after the service, and I look forward to many more meetings with him in the future. We’ve hit it off from the very beginning and I can’t wait to learn as much as I can from this dude!
Just to bring everything to light, Gary has been talkin’ some trash here lately. I’ve already challenged him to a wrestling match and I think this whole “injury” deal is just his way of graciously bowing out! I really think he’s just afraid of a man of my stature taking him out!!!
Let’s all just be honest… He really can’t handle it!
The ENTIRE Revolution staff was amazing today! Especially Taylor, Gary’s assistant. Thank you for all you did to make us feel extremely welcome. This girl knows how to serve her pastor!!!
I always love hanging out with Thad and it was great getting to see him share his gift with Revolution for his first official week. I know God has great things in store for him, Jill, and Zoe as they look to serve Revolution to reach Canton, Ga.
We love you bro, and we’ll definitely miss you, but we know God is doing BIG things in your lives and we can’t wait to see He how uses you in this next phase of your life.
Well, time to hit the road again! It’s off to NewSpring to see Perry and his staff rock the house one more time as they finish out their series. If you haven’t seen this series you have to go check it right now. It is freakin’ awesome!!!
So its off we go. Back in the truck for one more round of learning from the best.
Then it’s off to Charlotte to check out Furtick and the boys at Elevation for one more round of Road Trip highlights.
Check back next week to see what happens!
