Very Cool Weekend

Teresa and I decided that since we’d had such a great weekend last week, hanging out with our friends Caleb & Jordan and then hitting up Elevation Church, that we would go all out and head back to NC this weekend for one more round of hanging out with each other. So that is exactly what we did…

And it was a great decision!

It is always fun crashing at the William’s house, especially when we both have Guitar Hero 3 and are just now getting good at beating each other in the makeshift “Face Off” tournament we created. Plus, with God taking out His unleashing His fury on Cleveland County all the way through Saturday evening, we decided just to lounge in the living room to watch the all important ACC Tournament together. Oh by the way, GO TARHEELS!!!

Then we remembered that Steven announced last week at Elevation that they were going to have a legend in the house this Sunday so we KNEW we had to stay around to check that out. And man, did they ever deliver…

Cliff Barrows was in the house!

Now I know what some of you might be thinking, but yes I said Cliff Barrows. The man who traveled the globe with Billy Graham, leading millions in songs of worship to the Lord, showing the world the love of Christ for over half a century, and has excelled in the area of personal integrity all the way through.

He is a man to be honored and an example to follow. He is a true testament of Jesus Christ will do with a life when you decide that it is a life worth living for Him. 

Teresa & I walked away from there on Sunday saying it was one THE most moving services we have EVER experienced. Thank you Elevation for honoring this man of God and for setting the example for how our generation should do everything we can to live as man has lived for the Gospel and His Kingdom.

Needless to say, it was a very cool weekend. And with Easter right around the corner, I cannot wait to see what God allows us to be a part of this upcoming weekend. It is going to be an amazing Celebration of Jesus’ Resurrection!
