I have always been someone who loves working “behind the scenes” and “holding the cards close to my chest” so to speak.
To me, there is just something very powerful (and very flexible) about not spilling the beans on what you are planning until you absolutely know exactly where it is you’re going and how it is you’re planning on getting there.
My wife, on the other hand, hates keeping the lid on things which is why I love Christmas and birthdays and anything else she is trying to hide! I love the woman, but she can’t keep a secret to save her life!!
With that being said, she’s been after me to go public with our plans for the last six months and it appears today is the day she gets her wish. So for those of you who have been anxiously waiting to hear where God is calling us, its finally time to deliver…
Cleveland County, NC is our New Home as of August 1st, 2008!!!
More specifically the city of Shelby, NC. But we want to be extremely clear that we are not interested in only reaching Shelby herself, but the entire county of Cleveland. God has given us a big dream and a clear vision, and we honestly believe that reaching Shelby is only the beginning…
To all of you who have loved and supported us here in SC for the last 20 something years of our lives, you will never know how much we love you, how much we appreciate you, and how much we will miss you. We fully intend on saying goodbye to each and every one of you during the next 2 weeks so please pray for us as we transition through this rollcoaster of emotions.
This move is bitter-sweet for us, but we are COMMITTED to following God’s call on our lives. And Shelby, NC is exactly the place He’s told us to go.
