It Starts Here!

Forget the Democratic National Convention, the acceptance speech of Barack Obama as his party’s Presidential nominee, or even John McCain’s announcement of his VP running mate.

Tonight marks the beginning of something SO MUCH MORE important taking place in the life of our country than anything the political arena could try to throw at all of us…

COLLEGE FOOTBALL KICKS OFF TONIGHT!!!

And not that I could really give a rip about the Cocks or the Pack, but finally the NCAA 2008 Season begins and the road to the BCS CHAMPIONSHIP takes flight on ESPN at 8:00 pm tonight.

Go Tigers. Your time is finally here!!!

Saban is about to experience his WORST NIGHTMARE

Raining?

Because of the drought that has covered the Southeast the last couple of years, I actually forgot what rain happened to look like…

But God has delivered every bit of rain He has been storing away during the last couple YEARS on the city of Shelby in the last couple of DAYS!!! Roads have been flooding, creeks are overflowing, and I think the animals are starting to line up 2 by 2 down Hwy 74. And it looks like the end of the week is actually supposed to have heavier rain than the beginning of the week.

Nevertheless, we PRAISE GOD for the rain! He knows what need, right when we need it, never a moment too late, and always looking to provide even more than we asked or could possibly imagine.

Missing the Mrs.

My wife, Teresa, is out of town this week with our Golden Retriever, Tanner Banner. The both of them are staying at her parents’ house back in SC while she is still trying to locate a job in the dental field here in Shelby.

We decided the best thing for her to do is keep her job in Anderson until something else comes open, which means we will only be seeing each other on the weekends during the next couple of weeks.

To say I’m missing her LIKE CRAZY would be a HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT!!!

Thankfully, my Executive Pastor, Caleb, and his wife, Jordy, have been gracious enough to let me crash at their house the past few nights. So I haven’t had to resort completely back to my good ol’ college years of late night Madden Football on my PlayStation, and eating nothing but Ramen Noodles and peanut butter sandwiches the whole week. They’ve been amazing hosts, and Jordy an incredible chef, but there is still nothing like having your family home with you.

Please pray for us during this continuing time of transition as well as for Teresa to locate a job up here as soon as possible. We are believing God for His best. We pray He will honor our sacrifice. And His name will be made famous because of the trust and faith we have placed in Him.

To my beautiful wife, I love you sweetheart and I can’t wait to see you…

Hanging On

Last night was an AMAZING night…

Our Launch Team completely doubled in size. We have already outgrown 2 meeting locations. Eyes are being opened. Vision is spreading. And people are doing everything they possibly can to be a part of this incredible move of God.

Momentum is taking over. We are already hanging on for dear life and Jesus is just get started!

Thank you for praying for us and this movement of God’s Spirit working “to see the dead life arise in Christ.”

So MUCH to do, So LITTLE time…

I knew that once we made the move, held our first Launch Team Meeting, and things started rolling that we would be entering into a season of nonstop action and life changing events…

But I never dreamed it would be this intense, this wide open, and happening this quickly at such a fast pace!!!

So please PRAY, PRAY, PRAY that we will be just be able to hold on for the ride of our lives that God is driving us on right now. He is already opening so many doors and showing us so many opportunities to make the name of Jesus known.

I will be the 1st to tell you that I LOVE every minute of it!!! This is what we were created to do. I pray it NEVER slows down…

And oh by the way, SUNDAY is going to be a PHENOMENAL DAY!!!
