All of us know WHAT we should be reading (THE BIBLE), but HOW we go about it is very interesting to me.
And I don’t really think God cares how we read through His Word, as long as we find a method that works for us so that we can spend time with Him on a consistent basis. So HOW does this work out for you…
1. Start in Genesis and read from cover to cover?
2. Pick 1 book of the Bible at a time and read all the way through?
3. Select an area of your life where you would like to grow and search for what the Bible says about those areas?
4. Good old “Drop and Flop” method where you read wherever you land?
5. Use of devotion books or study helps to get you started and stay focused?
6. Other…
I’m curious. As a Pastor who spends a lot of time in the Scripture, I’m always looking for fresh new ways to explore God’s Word and how to go about letting Him to speak to me through consistent time with Him.
So responses to this question will be greatly appreciated and hopefully thought provoking for you as well.
You never know, you may just find a new way to read the great old story!
